SEO For Bloggers: 3 Simple Ways To Generate Organic Traffic

How can bloggers generate organic traffic easily?

I’ve built four successful niche blogs in the past 8 months. I’ve experienced SEO failures and successes also. In this post, I want to share with you, how I manage to rank on Google #2 for a highly searched keyword. There are no magic bullets to winning Google ranking game, but the part to follow is quite different. If you master the concept, nothing will be impossible.

Here are 3 simple ways to generate organic traffic from Google. This form of traffic would continue to send potential customers to your blog, and what you do with it is your sole responsibility. Let’s dive in…

1. Optimize Post Images Properly

A lot of folks miss out on the potential of gaining huge traffic from Google. The web is not only powered by contents; articles and posts, it’s also enriched with photos. Google and other search engine spiders are so concerned about the images you used on your post.

They don’t care how beautiful or colorful it is, but the optimization is what counts. Do you just use the every image without adjusting the settings? There is a section where you can fill the ‘alt’ text. When you upload a picture to use on your post, add a title to it. This title should be the primary keyword you’re writing about. It should be on the post headline also.

When you add this to the image title, use it to start the description and few more sentences. And on the author bio, use the same primary keyword – you would get more targeted traffic quickly, especially if you the competition is fair enough.

2. Optimize For Product Names

What brands of products do bloggers and other web entrepreneurs use often? If I place my mind on popular ones, we have Aweber, Getresponse, Market Samurai, Genesis Framework etc.

These are all paid blogging tools, and could generate extra income for you when such pages starts ranking on Google homepage. Truth is, a lot of searches are being carried out on daily basis, using product names. But the competition is still minimal. Rather than focusing on generic keywords like “social media tools,” look for a viable product that’s gaining acceptance and write about it.

It could be a product review, or simply a tutorial on how to use the tools. Ensure the product name is mentioned on the post headline, start the introduction with it and sprinkle such terms in the article body.

When linking back to your inner pages, use an alternative of these product name keyword as your anchor text. Bold the keyword and just write a unique content that’s helpful. You’ll pique Google spider to crawl, index and rank your web pages easily.

3. Write Quality Guest Posts

Have you started guest blogging already?

Most of the bloggers I know who have engaged audience, nice conversion and authority blogs started out contributing to other blogs. As far as blogging is concerned, you need to reach out to other blogs – deliver quality and original contents and they will reciprocate with quality traffic to your blog.

But guest posting has its principles. It begins with proper understanding of who you’re writing to, and the blog the content would be featured. Once you’re armed with such viable data, it’s time to move on to keyword research. I believe long-tail keyword is more profitable, generates more targeted traffic and are easy to dominate.

If you’re new to guest blogging, start off with upcoming blogs, and afterwards, contact A-list bloggers and pitch valuable, thought-proving and quality idea to them. A single guest post on A-list blog can generate over 200 unique readers to your blog within 24 hours. But how do you start? Learn from guest posting 101 and discover the secrets of getting a “YES” whenever you pitch a guest post to A-list blogs.
